Browse exam schedules by region
The search above filters exam dates interactively. The pages below cover the same data by region, with an explanation of how each region's examinations are actually organised — which is often the more useful thing, because "national exam" means very different things in different places.
Across all regions we currently list 184 examination authorities and 281 confirmed examination dates. The gap between those two numbers is deliberate: for many countries we have verified the responsible authority and its official website but have not been able to confirm a published timetable we can cite. Rather than estimating dates, we list the authority and link you to the primary source. Each regional page separates the two clearly.
| Region | Confirmed dates | Countries with dates | Authorities listed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Africa | 32 | 12 | 55 |
| Asia | 29 | 10 | 47 |
| Europe | 49 | 5 | 40 |
| North America | 127 | 5 | 6 |
| Oceania | 26 | 8 | 21 |
| South America | 18 | 5 | 15 |

Before you rely on a date
Always check the examination authority's own timetable. Exam dates are revised after publication, many systems run examinations as multi-week periods rather than single days, and your personal timetable usually depends on your subject combination, your awarding body or your board. In England four awarding bodies set different papers on a shared national timetable; in India your dates depend on your board rather than your state; in Germany each Länd sets its own Abitur schedule.
Once you have your dates, our guide to revision techniques that work covers how to build a revision plan backwards from them — and why most revision timetables fail in the first week.
