Contact OffLearn

OffLearn is an independent volunteer project, not a company with a support department. That has two practical consequences worth stating honestly: there is no phone line and no live chat, and replies take days rather than minutes. What you do get is a reply from the person who actually maintains the site and can fix the thing you are writing about.

We deliberately do not use a contact form. OffLearn is a static site with no accounts and no data collection, and adding a form would mean routing your message through a third-party service that logs it. Email keeps the exchange between you and us.

Reporting a broken link or an error

This is the most valuable kind of message we get. Government departments reorganise their websites constantly and links rot faster than we can re-check 734 of them. If something is broken, please tell us.

To let us fix it in one pass rather than three, include:

• The page on OffLearn where you found the problem — the URL is enough, for example /resources/canada.html.
• Which listing is affected, by its title.
• What happens — a 404, a redirect to an unrelated page, a login wall, or a paywall where the resource used to be free.
• The new location, if you happen to know where the material moved to. Not required, but it turns a ten-minute fix into a one-minute one.

Suggesting a resource

We are always looking for material we have missed, particularly in countries where our coverage is thin. Before you write, it is worth checking our selection rules, because they rule out a lot of otherwise good material.

In short, a suggestion is likely to be accepted if the resource is published by a government department, ministry, examination or curriculum authority, national library, museum, archive, public broadcaster or government-funded open education programme — and if it is genuinely free to use, substantive rather than a link page, and identifiable by subject and level.

It will not be accepted if it is a commercial product, a free tier of a paid service, a site that requires signup to see anything, or an aggregator of other people's links. This is not a judgement on quality; it is just not what this directory is for.

Please include the direct URL, the country and region it applies to, the grade levels and subjects it covers, and which public body publishes it.

Correcting how we describe an education system

Each country page on this site explains how that country's curriculum and examinations work, and each exam page explains how a region's assessment systems are organised. We write these carefully, but several of the systems described are mid-reform, and we are certain to have some details wrong or out of date.

If you teach, examine or administer within one of these systems and we have misdescribed it, we would genuinely like to know. Please point to the specific sentence and, where you can, to the official document that gives the correct position — we will cite the authority rather than ourselves.

Accessibility problems

We aim to keep the site usable with a keyboard alone and with a screen reader, and to keep text legible at large zoom levels on small screens. If you hit something that does not work — an unreachable control, a missing label, contrast that fails, a table that will not scroll — please report it with the page URL and the browser and assistive technology you are using. We treat these as bugs, not feature requests.

Press and general enquiries

Same address. Please be aware that OffLearn is a spare-time project run by a volunteer, so we may not be able to meet short deadlines. For factual questions about the site, the About page covers who runs it, how resources are selected, and how it is funded.

What we can't help with

To save you the wait for a reply that will not be useful:

• We cannot answer questions about your exams, results or enrolment. OffLearn is not a government body and has no connection to any examination authority. We cannot look up a result, confirm a personal timetable, or intervene in an appeal. Your examination authority — linked on every relevant listing — is the only body that can.
• We do not provide tutoring, homework help or academic advice. We point at material; we do not teach from it.
• We cannot grant permission to reuse linked material. Every resource in the directory belongs to its publisher and is governed by that publisher's licence and terms. Ask them.
• We do not sell listings, links or placements, and we do not accept paid guest content. Enquiries of this kind are not answered.

OffLearn links to material published by others; we do not host or mirror it. If you are a rights holder and believe a listing misrepresents your material or links to something that should not be publicly available, email info@offlearn.org with the specific OffLearn page, the listing in question, and the basis for your request. We will review and act promptly.
